Oh The Things That I Hate!

This is really just for me to vent, but, i needed a new post, so i thought, hey why not? And the only people who read this are family and friends.

1. Bravo. I HATE it. Not just because I got a stupid part in the play, but because, we have clicks, we leave people out, and i swear the teacher hates me. One time we were discussing the theme of our play, so like 15 people raised their hand. She called on like 5, then she looked at me, and called on someone else. She kept glancing at me. Finally I put my hand down. She asked if thats what I was going to say. I said "Not really." And she said, "ok" and called on someone else. I am probably overreacting, but it still made me mad.
2. Young Woman's in my ward. Its not the leaders I don't like, its the Girls. I love the leaders. When I am a laurel and all of my friends have gone, I won't want to go. I want to go, because I love the gospel, but i really don't like the girls.
3. Popular people. They think they are soooo cool. I hate going to teen living for that reason, they think they can laugh at anyone, do anything, say anything, and they expect people not to hate them. They are stupid and they should get over themselves. The guys too. Not that they really acknowledge me, but they fact that do other people. And in teen living they make fun of the handicapped people. That make me very mad.

Sorry if this offended anyone...

Teenagers will be teenagers. Eventually they'll grow up to be normal people--most of them will, anyway. Sometimes it really amazes me how the people I went to school with turned out.

It also surprises me when I meet new people who seem so "cool" to me...and then we get talking after we know each other and junior high comes up, as junior high will, and I find out that this person who seems like they never had an awkward stage in their whole life admits to feeling uncomfortable and lonely in junior high.

I think it's a pretty common theme through everyone's life. But it doesn't last forever, thank goodness. :)

I totally feel your pain. I hated junior high, and a lot of high school, too. You just have to keep on keeping on.

Also, teachers are only people, as well. But they should respect you and your opinions. They should not be making you feel liked your opinion is not valued. Perhaps you need to voice how you are feeling to your teacher.

This is getting long...but...I also always got the "stupid" parts in plays. I don't know what it is about me, but I just get stupid parts. The important thing is to act like the part you think is stupid is important, if that makes sense.

Anyway, I love you Josie--you're almost out of junior high! (Can you believe it!?) And things will start getting a bit better!

You know that light travels faster then the speed of sound. That's why people (and friends) look bright before you hear them speak. Just remember how all this makes you feel and don't be like them. You were sent here to do your thing not theirs, so do it and don't worry about the others and what they do. Probably (and most likely) they will remember what you did and respect you more in the future and wish that they had the courage to stand up for what they should of and, that you did, way back then. Love you for who you are and what you stand for.

Wow! What Dad said was amazing :)

And "There's no such thing as a small part, just small actors." There's been lots of plays I've been in where someone who was given a small role, ended up with more lines and more focus on them because they did so well with what they were given. Lots of actors start out that way... look at Bridge to Terebethia... the guy who plays the man at the dinner table with eyeballs in his hands, and then he plays another character too... no one really remembers who that actor is, but he is so good with taking characters to the next level that he has done so many creatures in so many popular movies. In real life, he's just a tall thin man with a nondescript face but incredible talent. So it's not always about the lead role - without the supporting actors and actresses, there is no play :)
